I’M 86 years old and looking at things in a new light. I had the Tecnis Multifocal lens implanted in my eyes. After cataract surgery I could read the newspaper without my glasses the very next day. The television is really clear and colorful. Driving is a pleasure now no more feeling like the windshield is dirty. I can even thread a needle now. Dr Surti did a beautiful job and I’ll be forever grateful.

Dear Dr. Surti:
I want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the fine job you did with my cataract surgeries. For the first time in my life I am able to see both distances and close work without wearing glasses or contacts. It was first discovered that I could not see distances when I was six years old. Thus I had been wearing either eyeglasses or contact lenses since that time, when I got to that age when the close vision became obscured; I had to wear reading glasses over my contact lenses.
When my optometrist informed me that I had a cataract in one eye. I was referred to you and you explained to me what would be done. You also discovered that I had a cataract in the other eye. You told me about the multi-vision lenses which were going to be more costly, but would prevent me from having to wear reading glasses all the time. After some thought and realizing that these lenses would last me the rest of my life, I decided that was the way to go. I do not regret making that decision even thought it hit the pocketbook a little harder. Being able to see is a great gift and I thank you for that. In closing I would recommend to anyone who needs cataract surgery to go with the multi-vision lenses. It is well worth it again I thank you my wonderful vision.

I have been a patient of Dr. Surti since October 2009. I have had the multifocal lens surgically inserted into both of my eyes. My first operation was in late November 2009, and the second on was mid January 2010. This surgery was mandated because I developed cataracts in both eyes. My wife and I decided on the more expensive lenses for two reasons.
The time frame for my eyes to improve to the point where I stopped using magnifiers was about a month for each surgery. I wanted to wait before writing this testimonial letter to have more post surgical experiences with the new lenses. Except in poor or limited lighting, these lenses are great and the results have been very much worth the investment of time and money. I highly recommend theses lenses to anyone who wishes to anyone who wishes to restore their vision. I am also quite pleased with the excellent care that I have been afforded by Dr. Surti and her well trained staff. During the entire process, all of my questions and concerns were professionally dealt with and answered.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to you for restoring the sight in my left eye! My first cataract surgery was in March 2004 and it was not and still not satisfactory. There was pain involved and negligent care afterwards. I was going around half blind for a year until I met you. Needless to say I was nervous and apprehensive about another surgery. You were caring and understanding, I made up my mind to go thru with it. Due to your talent and expertise I was able to see clearly the minute surgery was over. You can’t imagine what it was like for me to see again. I am still in awe. Not only are you and expert in your profession but your personality and caring attitude made other doctors I’ve seen seem pale in comparison. I hope I never have eye problems again but should it happen I would run to you in a heart beat.

I wanted to write this note to tell you how incredibly helpful and patient you have been regarding my eye injury from a motorcycle accident. You have shown compassion when no other doctor would listen to me You make me feel confident that something went wrong when I hit my head and it’s not me hurting myself for attention. The only other person besides you that is on my side is my husband.
You have gone beyond what most doctors would do, you haven’t given up on me and that makes me feel less about not only my eyes but my head injury as well I feel confident that I will get better eventually but in the mean time I know that you are doing everything you can for my eyes and for me. I have never met a more caring and understanding doctor than you. I know my case may drive you crazy but I’m thankful you haven’t given up.

I am very thankful that you carefully explained the benefits of the premium lenses to me. Since they cost more, I would not have agreed to incur this cost, but I did so because I believed in you. Now almost a year from my cataract operation, I can truly say that it was all worth it. My vision is not only very clear, it is 20/20 in both eyes. It also feels good to avoid the discomfort and inconvenience of prescription eyeglasses.

I want to express my sincere thanks for the wonderful job you did on my new implant. Before I received the implant I had a hard time seeing even the simple things. My vision had become so bad I was even using a magnifying glass to read. After I received the implant I began to see an improvement the very first day. Gradually with each passing day I was able to see a little better. Now, after a month I am able to read small print, and even see images that are far away much clearer. I can’t tell you enough how happy I am with my new implant and I want to thank you for doing such a wonderful job.

My Doctor Surti is so caring about my welfare. She is a super doctor.
